TEAM REGISTRATION: Clubs wishing to participate in the Spring 2017 edition of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League (Rock Creek) must complete the above Team Registration Agreement. In addtition to the Team Registration Agreement clubs must completed the following steps: 1 - Clubs must offer parents ample information about concussions in sports. (e.g.: https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/). Please note that certain rules have been introduced in our league to minimize the risk of bumping heads and the need to head the ball associated with the "aerial" aspects of the game. Such rules include the substitution of throw-ins with kick-ins and discouraging goalie punts by not allowing these to cross the center line of the field. We understand that these rules may not be very popular with some folks therefore we invite our coaches to help propagate the reasons behind these rules and awareness about head injuries in general. |
